The Ford Mustang is an American sports car (pony car) that was first presented to the public in 1964 at the New York World’s Fair. Its serial production started this year and is continued, i.e. it has been going on for over 50 years! In the course of a very long serial production, the model saw its six generations.
The Mustang model was developed and put into production as a complement to the Thunderbird model and in order to continue the market struggle with the Corvette that was initiated by this model. From the very beginning, it was assumed that the Mustang will be cheaper than its competitor, will have a strong, clear style and will be directed primarily to the generation of the so-called baby-bommers, i.e. people born around 1945 who, in 1964, entered the automotive market as independent consumers. The presentation of the new model was also given a lot of publicity and thoughtful, if not brilliant, marketing setting. All of these treatments, along with a really good car like the Mustang, contributed to a stunning market success that made it an iconic car. The latest, VI generation of Ford Mustang was presented in 2013, and its production started two years later. It has a completely new floor plate and engines ranging from 314 to 533 HP!
