Hawk T1A ”Red Arrows 50 display seasons”
In 1964 the best known and best known aerobatic team of the British Royal Air Force was formed as the “Red Arrows”. It was formed by the union of previous acrobatic teams and equipped with 7 Folland Gnat trainers. Since 1980, thanks to its performance qualities enhanced by the Rolls Royce Adour engine and thanks to an incredible maneuverability, the Red Arrows use the Hawk T Mk 1. The aircraft is the same as the Royal Air Force training units with further improved mechanics to provide even faster command response times. Smoke generators used during performances and air shows have also been inserted that allow 5 minutes of white smoke, 1 minute of red smoke and 1 minute of blue smoke. Since its creation, the “Red Arrows” have participated in more than 4,000 events in 52 countries, becoming one of the most famous acrobatic patrols in the world. In the year 2014 the “Red Arrows” celebrate the 50th anniversary of their establishment and will continue to enchant, fascinate and inspire millions of people both in the UK and around the world.
