980 Lancia Stratos HF (#1) 1977 Monte Carlo Winner HPI’s hyper-detailed 1/43 scale die-cast model line-up now includes the Lancia Stratos HF Stradale. The Stratos was the first “homologation special” rally car, with only 492 cars produced to meet the rules for WRC competition. And compete it did, with three successive World Rally Championship titles in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Bold futuristic styling by Bertone, a screaming Ferrari engine and dominance in competition make the Stratos one of the most famous rally cars of all time. This HPI diecast 1/43 scale model is a replica of the HF Stradale that won the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally in 1977. Driven by World Champion Sandro Munari for the race, this car features the famous white/green/red Alitalia livery with bright yellow racing wheels. These precision die-cast metal models are 1/43 scale, a convenient size for any desk or display case. Incredible attention has been paid to make the shape of cars as true to scale as possible. Fine exterior details like radiators, disc brakes, brake calipers, mirrors, wings, exhaust, headlight buckets, mirrors, tow hooks and radio antennae combine to make the models extremely realistic. Each car has a fully painted and detailed interior, steering wheel, and dashboard. These models come mounted to a display platform that includes a clear plastic protective case and the car can be easily removed from the platform for individual display.
